SERVICE OVERVIEW

Advantages to Self-Dumping bins: they are a preventive measure to reduce job site accidents and increase productivity:

• Reduce the likelihood of accidents by keeping employees out of dumpsters in order to release rigging from old style trash bins.
• Reduce man hours by not requiring jobsite personnel to stand by dumpsters to release rigging.
• Increase crane availability with increased cycle time when removing trash from buildings.
• Overall job site is safer.

The OSHA General Duty Clause section 5(a)(1) requires employers to ‘furnish to each of his employees, employment and a place of employment which are free from recognized hazards that are causing or are likely to cause death or serious physical harm to his employees”.

OSHA records show there were 6 crushing fatalities between 1999-2003 caused by shifting dumpsters on job sites.

The bins are manufactured in 1-, 2-, 3-, and 4-yard capacities. They have been rated and stamped by an engineer, along with a 33 page research paper written by Auburn University.

Although you may not have a use for them as a general contractor, you can request that your subcontractors use them to create a safer jobsite now that there is an alternative to the archaic trash removal bins of the past.
