Atlanta, Georgia

• Cherokee pumped 2,200 matt foundation along with 3,000 additional yards in building structures and parking deck at the Atlanta International airport. Project superintendent was Lane Griffin.


Hoar Construction: WC Bradley Building

Columbus, Georgia

• Cherokee pumped 15,000 yards in four story concrete structure and adjacent parking deck. The project superintendent was Joe Freeman and assistant superintendent was Charlie Ricks.


Batson-Cook: Troup County Government Center

LaGrange, Georgia

• Cherokee concrete pumping fleet pumped 13,000 yards on this five-story concrete structure along with a three-story parking deck. The project manager was Paul Meadows and the project superintendent was Ed Ramsur.


VCC: IKEA Furniture

Atlanta, Georgia

• Cherokee pumped 10,000 yards of concrete on the south’s largest furniture store along with a parking deck. The project superintendent was Rusty Mainer.


Archer-Western: Liberty Street Parking Deck

Savannah, Georgia

• Cherokee’s concrete pumping fleet pumped 5,000 yards on the downtown Savannah parking structure. The project superintendent was David Powers.


RJ Griffin & Company: John B. Amos Cancer Center

Columbus, Georgia

• Cherokee pumped 8,000 yards of concrete on the new cancer center. The project superintendent was Glenn Cadle and the project manager was Stephen Strickland.

Savannah, Georgia

• Cherokee’s concrete pumping fleet placed over 30,000 yards of concrete on the new water management canals in downtown Savannah. The project superintendent was Chuck Hicks. The project manager was Clark George.

Savannah, Georgia

• Cherokee pumped 12,000 of concrete on the new cancer center and adjacent parking deck. The project superintendent was Jim Myer and project manager was Martin Steineker.


Scott Bridge Company: I-95 expansion

Brunswick, Georgia

• Cherokee’s concrete pumping fleet placed over 20,000 yards on thirteen bridges in southeast Georgia. The project superintendent was Bill Johnson.


Carter Concrete: Green and Purple parking decks for Medical Center of Central Georgia

Macon, Georgia

At the Medical Center of Central Georgia, Cherokee’s concrete pumping fleet placed 9,300 yards of concrete. The project manager was Eric Ristec, and the project superintendent was Andy Higgins.


Hardin Construction: 3344 Peachtree Project

Atlanta, Georgia

In the Buckhead area of Atlanta, Cherokee pumped a 52-story tower along with an 11-story parking deck utilizing a 39-meter placing boom on the tower and a 32-meter placing boom with a free-standing pedestal on the parking deck. Both placing booms were fed by a Schwing 8800 trailer pump. Hardin Construction superintendent was Billy McElroy, and the project manager was Skip Loman.


Formworks: Miami Dolphin Stadium Addition

Miami, Florida

• Cherokee used multiple boom trucks to place concrete around the perimeter of the structure. Formworks superintendent was Jerry Brown


Carter Concrete: IDI Project

Atlanta, Georgia

• On this large computer facility, Cherokee used multiple boom trucks to pump over one-mile vertical walls and slabs for Carter. Carter Concrete’s superintendent was Gary Parker, and the project manager was Kirby Yoder.


Hunt Construction/Baker Concrete: The W Hotel

Fort Lauderdale, Florida

On this project which had two 28-story buildings, Cherokee used two vertical lines to service one 39-meter placing boom on each tower. The Baker superintendent was John Schroeder and the project manager was Burt Reedy.


Lithko Contracting: Target Distribution Center Phase 2

Savannah, Georgia

On this second phase for Target, Cherokee’s concrete pumping fleet placed over 1.2 million square feet of slab on grade concrete along with tilt-up for Lithko. Many of the pours were in excess of a 1,000-yards per pour. Their project manager was Aaron Curtis.


Bailey-Harris: Richard Shelby Research Facility at Auburn University

Auburn, Alabama

• Cherokee pumped close to 15,000 yards on this new research facility on the campus of Auburn University. Many different size concrete pumping boom trucks were utilized.


Facchina-McGaughan/Baker Concrete: 500 Brickell Project

Miami, Florida

• This project consisted of two 44-story towers connected by an 11-story parking deck in downtown Miami. Cherokee placed one 32-meter placing boom on each tower which was serviced by one large, Schwing 8800, trailer pump. The Baker superintendent was Keith Bisson, and the project manager was Ray Pisaneschi.


Hardin Construction: Terminus 100 Building

Atlanta, Georgia

Cherokee used 32-meter detachable placing boom to pour 18-stories of concrete on this structure. Hardin superintendent was Will Banfield and Dave Gibson.


Batson Cook: Ellis Square Parking Garage

Savannah, Georgia

• On this parking garage in downtown Savannah, Cherokee’s concrete pumping fleet pumped over 40,000 yards on this 8-story below grade structure with several different boom trucks. Larry Turner was the project superintendent.


GT McDonald/Baker Concrete: Capri at South Beach

Miami, Florida

Cherokee used a 28-meter detachable placing boom to pump on GT’s 14 and 18-story condominium project. Also, prior to installing placing boom equipment, Cherokee completed a 6,300 and 7,500 matt pours with several boom pumps involved. Baker superintendent was Rudy Betacourt.


KM Plaza/Formworks: The Marquis

Miami, Florida

On this 69-story structure, Cherokee used an 8800-trailer pump to place concrete along with two 39-meter placing booms. This building is second highest building in Miami. Formworks’ project manager is Hugo Hernandez.


Jay-Ton Construction: KIA Manufacturing Plant

West Point, Georgia

• Cherokee’s concrete pumping fleet placed over 30,000 yards of concrete in pits, slab on grade, and elevated structures with several different boom trucks. Shane Bates was Jay Ton’s superintendent.


Baker/Formworks: MIC Project

Miami, Florida

Cherokee placed 130,000 yards of concrete on this 3.4 million square foot parking deck at the Miami International Airport. The project was managed by Ray Pisaneschi and Steve Binford with Billy “Dogman” Burns and Rick Campbell as the project superintendents.


Coscan Construction/Baker Concrete: Jade Ocean

Sunny Isles, Florida

Cherokee used an 8000-trailer pump and a 28-meter placing boom with two pedestals to place concrete on this 51-story structure in Sunny Isles, Florida. Grant Johnson was Baker Concrete’s superintendent.


Bovis Lend Lease/Baker Concrete: Paramount Bay

Miami, Florida

Cherokee utilized an 8000-trailer pump to place concrete through a 32 and 39-meter placing booms on this 53-story structure in downtown Miami. Doug Nealeigh was the project manager for Baker Concrete.


Suffolk Construction/Baker Concrete: MET II

Miami, Florida

Cherokee utilized two Schwing 8800-trailer pumps, two 28-meter placing booms and one 39-meter placing boom on this project which consist of a 44-story hotel and a 48-story office building. The 48-story had the highest placement of lightweight concrete in south Florida. Hans Rowland was Baker Concrete’s project manager.


Bailey-Harris: New Student Center at Auburn

Auburn, Alabama

Cherokee’s concrete pumping fleet pumped 12,000 yards for Bailey Harris using several different boom sizes to complete the concrete placement on the structure.


Coastal Construction/Formworks-Baker: St. Regis Hotel

Bal Harbor, Florida

Cherokee used two Schwing 8000-trailer pumps along with three 32-meter separate placing booms on free standing pedestals and two 39-meter separate placing booms to place concrete on this project in Bal Harbor. This project consists of three 27-story buildings along with two four-story parking garages. We are utilizing over 3,200 feet of pipeline to deliver the concrete to the placing booms.


Bailey-Harris Construction: RSA Judicial Building

Montgomery, Alabama

Cherokee supplied a 39-meter separate placing boom, one self-jacking pedestal along with a Schwing 8800-trailer pump to place concrete on this project. The 12-story structure was the first building in Montgomery to utilize a placing boom. Richard Lovelace was Bailey Harris’s project manager.


Tuner Construction/Baker Concrete: Harrah’s-Cherokee Casino

Cherokee, North Carolina

Cherokee provided a Schwing 39-meter detach and one pedestal to place concrete on the new 25-story structure. The 39-meter boom served a duel role: it was removed and placed on the pedestal as the building progressed vertically. Also, it was removed and placed back on the truck to make slab on grade pours around the project. John Schroeder was Baker Concrete’s superintendent.


United Forming: Thyssen-Krupp Plant

Mobile, Alabama

Cherokee was contracted to place 200,000 yards of concrete on this new stainless-steel plant in Mobile, Alabama. United is utilizing two Schwing 45-meters and two Schwing 52-meters. This structure had twenty plus 2,000-yard monolithic pours. The project manager for United is Scott Davis and the superintendent are Brandon Salts.


Baker Concrete: Thyssen-Krupp Plant

Mobile, Alabama

Cherokee provided two 58 and two 52-meter concrete pumps to Baker Concrete portion of the project. Cherokee’s pumps placed 230,000 yards for Baker over a nine-month time frame on this project. This structure had 10 pours that exceeded 4,000 yards per pour. The project manager for Baker Concrete is Randy Nehlan.


Holder Construction: Project Spirit

Alpharetta, Georgia

Cherokee’s concrete pumping fleet was utilized to place 20,000 yards in an 8-week time frame on this data center project in north Atlanta. Randy McGill was the general superintendent for Holder.


Flintco: Memphis Airport Parking Structure

Memphis, Tennessee

Cherokee had two 8000-trailer pumps, two 39-meter placing booms, and six free standing pedestals to place concrete on the 600’ x 600’ seven story parking structure at the Memphis International airport. The project manager for Flintco was Mike McDaniel.

Cherokee supplied a 39-meter placing boom along with a 2000 truck mounted Schwing trailer pump to place concrete on this 23-story structure in downtown Atlanta. Batson Cook’s superintendent was Donnie Williamson.

United Forming: Davie Government Center

12,000 yards of concrete was pumped by Cherokee’s equipment on this new government center for the city of Davie. Jim During was the project manager for United Forming.

AMEC: Georgia Power Plant Scherer Expansion

Forsyth, Georgia.

Cherokee used many boom and trailer pumps to place over 40,000 yards for the power plant expansion in Forsyth, Georgia.


Rabren Construction: Alabama State Football Stadium Expansion

Cherokee’s concrete pumping fleet was used to place close to 10,000 yards of concrete on this new Alabama State Football Stadium Expansion in Montgomery, Alabama. The superintendent for Rabren was BJ Culpepper.


Baker Concrete: Florida Atlantic Football Stadium

Cherokee utilized several sizes of concrete pumps to place over 20,000 yards on the new reservoir in eastern Georgia. Project manager for Layne was Kevin Frantz.


Group VI: Pinewood Studios

Fayetteville, Georgia

Cherokee placed over 80,000 yards of concrete between 15 separate sound stages on the movie production studio in Fayetteville, Georgia. Several of the pours exceeded 1,000 yards of placement.


JE Dunn: Drew Charter School

Atlanta, Georgia

Over 15,000 yards of concrete were placed by Cherokee’s concrete pumping fleet on the new charter school funded by Warren Buffett next to East Point Golf Course in downtown Atlanta. Tom Arrington was JE Dunn’s superintendent.

Many of Cherokee’s concrete pumps were utilized on this new seven-story, 200,000 square foot plus student housing project for Georgia State University. Bobby Redmon was the superintendent for Shell-McElroy.


JE Dunn: Amili Arts Center project

Cherokee utilized several boom pumps before installing a 41-meter placing boom to complete the 32-story structure in the Buckhead area of Atlanta. The placing boom was fed by 4800 Schwing trailer pump. JE Dunn’s general superintendent for the project was Dean Killen.


DPR: Perry Lane Hotel Project

Savannah, Georgia

Two free standing 45’ pedestals were installed to hold Cherokee’s 41-meter placing boom on the two-block hotel structure. The placing boom placed concrete on two 4-story below grade parking decks before completing two buildings 8-story above grade hotel buildings. DPR’s superintendent for the project was Russ Aldridge.


JE Dunn: Amli City Center Project

Atlanta, Georgia

Cherokee supplied multiple boom trucks before installing a 32-meter placing boom along with two pedestals to place concrete on the 33-story structure. JE Dunn’s general superintendent for the project was Dean Killen.


Shell-McElroy: HD Supply Office Building

Atlanta, Georgia

Cherokee used multiple boom pumps assisted by a 17-meter spider boom to place concrete on a six-story below grade parking deck. Additionally, a 41-meter placing boom was attached to the building to place the 12-story above grade office building. Bobby Redmon was the superintendent for Shell McElroy.
